Why I Do This Work

I've lived in Turkey, Canada, the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands. Because of that I know what it can feel like to build a life between different cultures. Starting over, missing what you left behind, looking for who you are in a new place: for me these aren't abstract themes.

That personal experience also shaped my academic interest in migration psychology. I'm now active in the NIP Committee for Culture and Diversity, where I help think through how psychologists in the Netherlands can connect better with clients from different cultural backgrounds.

I don't only work with expats or people with a migration background. I work with anyone seeking support. Whether it's anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, or a major change: my starting point is the same. I want to understand what's going on for you and explore together what actually helps.

Clinical Experience

I have worked as a psychologist at VIVIQ GGZ, Cirya GGZ, and GGZ in Balans, gaining experience across different treatment settings within the Dutch mental healthcare system.

This GGZ background means I understand how the Dutch system works, and why many people prefer the flexibility of private practice.
